Mavis Fan - “Bartender Angel,” from Wanna Fall In Love (Linfair Records, 1996)

I remember this song being nominated for something* at the MTV Video Music Awards about 10 or 15 years ago (back when they played actual MUSIC on “Music Television”). I don’t know how or why my brain retains such knowledge, but I’m pretty sure it stores this stuff in the section that should have been keeping track of things like polyatomic ions and quadratic formulas back in high school. Anyway, this song is even better than I remembered.

*ETA: A quick Google search revealed that it was the Mandarin Viewers Choice Awards and the year was 1997.
